The Cultural Academy for Excellence (CAFE) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. CAFE began in 1996 with a grant from the Kaiser Permanente Building Hope Foundation. Our purpose is to provide our youth with the needed tools to activate their highest potentials, through academic, artistic, and cultural means.
Now in its 28th year, founder and CEO Lorna Green, together with the Board of Directors, committed professionals, and community leaders lend their expertise to keep CAFE’s program innovative and dynamic. Click HERE to learn more about our mission and impact!

Not just Arts…STEM too!
The students of the Cultural Academy For Excellence are very involved in STEM, taking coding classes and learning in detail how modern day programs and technology work.
Has your child fallen behind due to school closures during COVID?
Does your child need an emotionally supportive, nurturing environment that provides tutoring in reading, math and other subject areas?
We provide personal, customized tutoring for your child, to help bridge the gap so that they can perform at their grade level.

Our students excel academically and in extra-curriculars through their experiences with CAFE.
Each student finds their passion and their strength. They often stay with us into adulthood, returning to serve, mentor and inspire the next generation.
