The Cultural Academy for Excellence (CAFE) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. CAFE began in 1996 with a grant from the Kaiser Permanente Building Hope Foundation. Our purpose is to provide our youth with the needed tools to activate their highest potentials, through academic, artistic, and cultural means.

CAFE is proud and excited to celebrate Black History Month with the CAFE Family! For the month of February we will be introducing a few extra activities for students to explore important historic facts and engage in inspiring dialogue. Most of these are in class activities, however, on February 22nd, from 3 pm - 5:30 pm, we will also be hosting a very special in-house Black History Month Meal & Matinee “One Night In Mount Rainier” at CAFE’s Program Site.

NEW PROGRAM: Financial Freedom Sessions! 〰️
CAFE is launching a NEW Financial Literacy Program!
Beginning in the month of February, students will learn about financial literacy and entrepreneurship, with the goal of creating their own mock business model to encourage creative thinking in regards to their future careers. This program will be partially facilitated by Mr. Heath Carelock, Program Director of PGCC's Financial Empowerment Center.

Not just Arts…STEM too!
The students of the Cultural Academy For Excellence are very involved in STEM, taking coding classes and learning in detail how modern day programs and technology work.

We provide personal, customized tutoring for your child, to help bridge the gap so that they can perform at their grade level.
