“Dare to Dream, Prepare to Succeed”
The Cultural Academy for Excellence (CAFE) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. CAFE began in 1996 with a grant from the Kaiser Permanente Building Hope Foundation. Our purpose is to provide our youth with the needed tools to activate their highest potentials, through academic, artistic, and cultural means.
Now in its 28th year, founder and CEO Lorna Green, together with the Board of Directors, committed professionals, and community leaders lend their expertise to keep CAFE’s program innovative and dynamic. Click HERE to learn more about our mission and impact!

Has your child fallen behind due to school closures during COVID?
Does your child need an emotionally supportive, nurturing environment that provides tutoring in reading, math and other subject areas?
We provide personal, customized tutoring for your child, to help bridge the gap so that they can perform at their grade level.
Our students are our legacy.
LEARNING | LEADERSHIP | ACHIEVEMENT
Our students excel academically and in extra-curriculars through their experiences with CAFE.
Each student finds their passion and their strength. They often stay with us into adulthood, returning to serve, mentor and inspire the next generation. Our students leave CAFE as confident, purpose driven and highly networked individuals. At CAFE, we are proud to say that that our students are our legacy!
We explore the world together.
International exchange is one of our key features. Our children deserve to explore this vast world and create dynamic world views that take our nations forward.
We innovate and create.
Our programs are groundbreaking, executed in partnership with high level tertiary institutions, qualified professionals and committed non-profits.
